EID-AL-FITR: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS DECLARED FRIDAY AND MONDAY PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

The Federal Government has announced Friday, April 21 and Monday, April 24 to be federal holidays.

This is to commemorate Eid-al-Fitr this year.

On behalf of the government, the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, made the announcement.

Aregbesola congratulated Muslims on finishing the holy month of Ramadan in a statement signed by the ministry's Permanent Secretary, Dr Shuaib Belgore.

He encouraged them to emulate the characteristics of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, self-denial, sacrifice, and good neighborliness exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
