Soludo rejects a plot to assassinate Peter Obi

Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, has refuted the claim that he was involved in a conspiracy to kill Peter Obi.

The Labour Party, LP's presidential nominee is a businessman and former governor of Anambra.

A social media statement that went viral claimed that the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria had been hired to get rid of Obi.

According to the report, Soludo was flown to a private meeting at the Imo Government House in Owerri by a helicopter that arrived in Awka around 1:30 am.

"The agenda is Obi and how to stop him physically, politically and otherwise. Soludo was given $5million and Soludo promised to eliminate Peter Obi.." it claimed.

Chris Aburime, Soludo's press secretary, said on Monday in Awka that the governor would never conspire to hurt a law-abiding citizen.
