SHI'ITE FIGHTERS STRUGGLE WITH EL- RUFAI'S CONVOY IN KADUNA, WHERE MANY ARE FEARED DEAD

At the Bakin Ruwa Region of Kaduna State's Igabi Local Government Area on Thursday night, Shi'ite members and security personnel attached to the governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, clashed.

According to sources, at least four people died as a result of the development, and many more suffered injuries.

According to information obtained by MON DIARIES, the governor's motorcade encountered the Shi'ite participants as they were participating in their weekly march at Bakin Ruwa along the Nnamdi Azikiwe Highway.

Abdullahi Usman, a Shi'ite official in Kaduna state, reportedly verified the occurrence but insisted that none of those killed were Shi'ites.

A statement would be released later, according to DSP Mohammed Jalige, the Kaduna State Police Command's spokesperson, who also confirmed the incident. He said the investigation was ongoing.
