UCL: HAALAND SHATTERS MESSI AND MBAPPE SET RECORDS, AS MAN CITY WINS 7-0

Erling Haaland

Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, broke the record for the youngest player to reach 30 goals in the Champions League on Tuesday.

At the Etihad, Haaland scored five goals as Cityzens destroyed RB Leipzig 7-0.

The Norwegian's third place finish was his 30th overall, a feat he accomplished at the age of 22 years and 236 days and in just 25 matches.

At 22 years, 352 days, Kylian Mbappe previously held that record.

This puts the two players far ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who each scored 30 points in 48 games.

The Norwegian also surpassed City's record for most goals scored in a single season and became just the third player to score five goals in a single Champions League match.
