WALID, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PDP BOT, RESIGNS

Jubrin Walid, Chairman of the People's Democratic Party's (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), resigned on Thursday.

Walid previously stated that he is willing to give up his position in order to bring peace to the party.

Walid, whose term expires in six months, previously stated that the North cannot hold all key positions in the party.

He stated that it is not fair for the North to hold the positions of National Chairman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT), and Chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum.
