BRITISH MONARCH, KING CHARLES III, HAS MADE HIS FIRST PUBLIC ADDRESS AS A SOVEREIGN



Charles became king on Thursday upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

He paid tribute to his late mother and made it clear Prince Harry and Meghan will continue their lives overseas.

He said, "Through all changes and challenges, our nation, and the wider family of realms-of whose talents, traditions and achievements am so inexpressibly proud -have prospered and flourished."

"Our values have remained and must remain constant."

King Charles III concluded the address from Buckingham Palace with "To my darling mama, as you begin your last great journey to join my dear late papa, want simply to say this: thank you."
King Charles III of the United Kingdom has delivered his first public address as a sovereign.

After his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died on Thursday, Charles ascended to the throne.

He paid tribute to his late mother and stated that Prince Harry and Meghan will continue to live their lives abroad.

"Through all changes and challenges, our nation and the wider family of realms, of whose talents, traditions, and achievements I am so inexpressibly proud," he said.

"Our values have not changed and must not change."

"To my darling mama, as you begin your last great journey to join my dear late papa, I simply want to say this: thank you," King Charles III said from Buckingham Palace.
