FRESH CRISIS ROCKS RULING PARTY AS APC GOVERNORS FORUM'S DG QUITS OVER CONVENTION CONTROVERSY

Salihu Lukman, director general of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), on Monday tendered his resignation following mounting pressure on him to quit or be forced out.

It was gathered that the controversial Salihu was forced to make the move following demands from governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Some of the governors of the ruling party had called for his resignation during a meeting at the Federal capital territory (FCT) on Sunday night.

Some members have also threatened to embark on nationwide protest over Salihu's comment on the forthcoming national convention of the APC.
