Inter Milan moved clear at the top of Serie A after coming from behind to secure a 3-1 victory at Bologna, earning just their second win in their last six league visits in this fixture.

Buoyed by their first win of the season last time out, Bologna needed only 10 minutes to catch Cristian Chivu's side off guard at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

Juan Miranda caught Luis Henrique in possession deep in Inter's half, opening the door for Tommaso Pobega to drive into the box before firing a left-footed shot past Josep Martinez at his near post.

The Inter goalkeeper was soon called into action again to deny Federico Bernardeschi from quickly doubling the lead with a fierce strike from a short free-kick.

With Inter struggling to get going, Pobega kept the pressure on Martinez's goal, drilling a long-range effort narrowly wide before rattling the crossbar.

The hosts were soon made to pay for those missed chances, though, as Marcus Thuram equalised against the run of play in the 44th minute, rising highest to head home from Nicolo Barella's pinpoint delivery.

Thuram's fourth goal in five Serie A games gave Inter a much-needed lift and saw them begin the second half with greater intensity, although Cristian Chivu still felt the need to introduce Andy Diouf and Carlos Augusto with just over 20 minutes remaining.

The double change proved to be a masterstroke, as within a minute of coming on, Diouf slipped in Piotr Zielinski to send a low ball across goal for Augusto to tap in his second Serie A goal of the season.

Ange-Yoan Bonny then made sure of the points, finishing first time from Augusto's square pass, just moments after seeing a near-post effort ruled out for offside.

The victory moved Inter three points clear at the top - at least for a few hours - while Raffaele Palladino's side remain just a point above the relegation zone.
