NHL Nightly Roundup: Tkachuk Historic Night Leads 11-Game Slate
Tkachuk double hat-trick headlines NHL slate

Eleven games in the NHL see historic night for Tkachuk as Panthers erase deficit to beat Canucks, Hughes stars in Devils rout of Rangers, hat-tricks for Vegas and Wild stars, and Mammoth hand Oilers first regulation loss.

Panthers' Brady Tkachuk nets hat-tricks in consecutive games...

Brady Tkachuk made Florida Panthers history as the third player ever to score hat-tricks in back-to-back games, powering his side to an overtime victory over the Vancouver Canucks.

Tkachuk's Heroics Erase Two-Goal Deficit

Another night, another Brady Tkachuk hat-trick. After Vancouver raced to a 2-0 lead, Tkachuk took over.

He struck twice to force overtime, then buried the winner to complete another unforgettable performance.

The result moves Florida to 4-2-2 on the season, while Vancouver drops to 2-6-1.

Devils Crush Rangers in One-Sided Rivalry Rout

The New Jersey Devils overpowered rivals New York Rangers 7-1. Luke Hughes posted the first multi-goal game of his career, scoring twice to lift his season tally to three.

Nico Hischier (4) and Arseny Gritsyuk (2) found the net just 30 seconds apart, and nine Devils finished with at least a point, with four players recording two points each.

New Jersey moves to 4-3-0 with the win, while the Rangers slip back into the loss column at 6-3-0.

Pinto Seals Shootout Win for Senators

It was a tight, low-scoring battle that finished 1-1 in regulation and went to a shootout, where Shane Pinto netted the winner to hand Ottawa its sixth victory of the season and move the club to 6-2-0.

Matias Maccelli (2) put the Islanders ahead in the first with an unassisted effort, before Ridly Greig answered in the second with his first goal of the season to level it for Ottawa.

The Islanders slipped to 3-3-1 despite holding a 21-19 edge in shots.

Hedman's OT Winner Caps Lightning Comeback

It was a back-and-forth contest. Seattle's Matty Beniers tied it 3-3 late to force overtime, but Tampa Bay's Victor Hedman answered with the winner, his first goal of the season.

Brandon Hagel was the only player on either side to record more than one point, scoring twice to help Tampa secure its fifth win and improve to 5-2-0.

Seattle suffered its first overtime loss of the year, dropping to 5-2-1.

Power's OT Winner Decides High-Scoring Thriller

The Maple Leafs and Sabres delivered a shootout of a show. Kirill Marchenko, picked up by Toronto just before the season, recorded a hat-trick to bring his season total to four.

Toronto endured a scare when John Tavares was forced out after a heavy collision with Josh Norris.

It was Buffalo who had the last word, though, as Owen Power scored his second overtime winner of the season. The Sabres improved to 4-3-1 while Toronto slipped to 3-3-2.

Red Wings Rally Late as Flyers' Winless Skid Continues

Philadelphia remains without a win, dropping to 0-6-3. The Flyers have now been held under 20 shots in six of nine games this season after managing just 19 against Detroit.

Matvei Michkov gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead, but Detroit hit back with Anton Johansson's first career NHL goal, followed by Andrew Copp's first of the season late in the third.

Detroit, still searching for consistency, moved to 2-3-2.

Levshunov's First Seals OT Win for Chicago

Chicago edged Winnipeg in overtime, with Artyom Levshunov scoring his first goal of the season to win it. Young star Connor Bedard also opened his account as the team's new captain.

Winnipeg's Kyle Connor stayed hot with his eighth goal of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Jets slipped to 4-1-2, while Chicago improved to 3-5-0.

Boldy's Hat-Trick Powers Wild Past Late Blues Push

A Matthew Boldy hat-trick, capped by three goals in the second period, was enough to withstand a late St. Louis rally as Minnesota earned its fifth win and moved to 5-2-0.

Defenseman Jack Hughes stretched his season-opening point streak to eight games with two assists, while St. Louis' Mason McTavish netted his fifth goal of the season to reach eight points in seven games.

The Blues dropped to 3-3-1 with the loss.

Celebrini Decides Shootout After Stamkos Forces OT

San Jose goalie Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 32 shots in a physical, high-volume night that saw 66 combined attempts (32 for San Jose, 34 for Nashville). The Sharks jumped to a 2-0 lead before Nashville battled back, capped by Steven Stamkos beating the buzzer with his fourth goal of the season to force overtime.

San Jose's young star Macklin Celebrini ended it with the winner in the shootout.

Nashville fell to 2-3-3 with the loss, while San Jose returned to the win column to improve to 4-3-0.

Keller's Double Lifts Mammoth Over Oilers

Both clubs finished with 24 shots, but Utah found the edge over Edmonton behind two goals from Clayton Keller, pushing his season total to three.

Connor McDavid picked up his league-leading 14th assist on Leon Draisaitl's fifth goal of the year. No other player has more than nine assists, and McDavid remains atop the league with 18 points.

Utah improved to 6-2-0 and extended its winning streak to three games, while Edmonton took its first regulation loss of the season to fall to 5-1-1.

Stone's Third-Period Hat-Trick Sends Knights Top of West

In the late game, Vegas rolled past Calgary 6-2 at home, with Mark Stone scoring three times in the third period to break it open.

The victory lifts the Golden Knights to the top of the Western Conference at 7-2-0, while Calgary sits last with just one win through seven games.
