Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 home fixture against Lyon originally slated for this Sunday has been pushed back to Monday, the French league confirmed, after police requested the change due to a wave of violent protests in the French capital.
“The LFP takes note of the police decree prohibiting the staging of the game between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday at 8:45 pm (1945 GMT)... and has decided to reschedule the match for Monday at 8:30 pm,” the French league said in a statement.

Authorities in France are bracing for another weekend of protests in Paris and nationwide, after some of the worst urban violence seen in years erupted on the margins of demonstrations a week ago.
The unrest erupted on the sidelines of nationwide demonstrations against the rising cost of living. Since then, authorities have imposed partial curfews in parts of Paris and other cities in an effort to prevent further violence.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez announced on Friday that around 70,000 security personnel will be deployed across the country this weekend, warning that calls for violence and looting were spreading on social media.
Several Paris museums, including the Louvre, said they will remain closed on Saturday, while Art Basel Paris, the French capital's largest annual art fair, will close two days early this weekend due to the risk of protests.
The rescheduled date for PSG creates a potential headache, as the match will now clash with the Ballon d'Or ceremony taking place in London on Monday evening.
Ten PSG players are among the 30 nominees for football's most prestigious individual prize, including last year's winner Ousmane Dembele.
A year ago, PSG also had to play on the same night as the Ballon d'Or ceremony, after their game in Marseille was postponed by 24 hours due to storms.
While the PSG fixture has been affected, the NFL game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm (1330 GMT) is still set to go ahead as planned.
The first ever NFL game to be staged in France will take place at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis on the northern outskirts of Paris.
The postponement of the PSG match follows an earlier decision this week to move another Ligue 1 fixture in the south-western city of Toulouse, between the home side and Troyes, from Saturday to Sunday.
Several games in France's second-tier Ligue 2 have also been rescheduled this weekend at the request of police.
