Toulouse's Ligue 1 home game against Troyes has been moved from Saturday to Sunday following a request from the local prefecture, the LFP announced on Wednesday.

France has witnessed some of its worst unrest in years this month, with thousands arrested and shops looted and vandalized amid protests against rising costs and deteriorating public services.

Following the unrest, Toulouse enforced a nighttime curfew in parts of the city, which is due to remain in place until Sunday.

“The Toulouse FC vs ESTAC Troyes match ... has been rescheduled to Sunday, October 25 at 5:15 PM at the request of the Haute-Garonne Prefecture and in agreement with broadcaster Ligue1+,” the LFP said in a statement.

On Monday, Ligue 1 sides Olympique de Marseille and Lille confirmed their official stores were looted during the protests.
