Clippers trade Kawhi Leonard to Raptors for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and draft capital...

The Los Angeles Clippers sent Kawhi Leonard to the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday. In return, they received Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and one pick swap.

Leonard, 34, is entering the final year of his contract. He’s due $50.3 million next season and will hit unrestricted free agency afterward unless he signs an extension.

The L.A. native spent the last seven seasons with the Clippers following a single year in Toronto that ended with a 2019 title.

Now, Leonard is heading back to The 6.

Leonard began his NBA journey with San Antonio, who drafted him 15th overall in 2011. Over seven years with the Spurs, the seven-time All-Star and seven-time All-NBA forward helped them win their fifth title by beating the Miami Heat 4-1 in the 2014 Finals.

He now joins a Raptors squad that went 46-36 and finished fifth in the East last season. Leonard arrives after averaging a career-best 27.9 PPG in 2024-25, giving Toronto a major boost as they chase contention in the East after Giannis’ blockbuster move to Miami.

Clippers Land Ingram and Dick in Leonard Swap

Ingram, 28, is coming off his second All-Star nod in a decade-long career. The veteran forward averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists last season.

He’s been a 20-plus PPG scorer for seven years running, and has strangely put up 12.1 two-point attempts per game for three seasons straight.

Injury issues have limited him in the past, but Ingram stayed healthy in 2024-25, suiting up for a career-high 77 games with Toronto.

Ingram is locked in for two more years, earning $40 million next season and $41.9 million in 2026-27 with a player option.

Dick, 22, struggled after moving to a bench role with the Raptors. He averaged 14.4 points in 54 games with 54 starts in 2024-25, but that fell to 6.0 points in one start across 76 games.

The 13th overall pick in the 2023 Draft has one year remaining on his rookie contract at $7.1 million.
