Collin Gillespie signs 4-year, $48M deal with Suns after breakout season...
The Phoenix Suns brought Collin Gillespie back on a 4-year, $48 million deal. Teams could start talking to their own free agents last weekend, and the Suns moved quickly to keep him.
Gillespie, 26, just had his best NBA season yet. He averaged 12.7 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in 28.5 minutes per night.
Gillespie struggled to get minutes in Denver from 2023-2024, but things changed after he joined Phoenix the next season. Even then it took time - he averaged just 5.9 points in 33 games, starting only nine.

Fast forward to now and he’s a legit NBA guard and a key part of the Suns’ backcourt for next year. In 80 games last season he started 58 times and dropped 20+ points in 10 of those starts. His peak was Feb 3 against Portland: a career-best 30 points plus 10 assists.
