Jose Ramirez cements status as Cleveland sports icon with historic games played milestone...

Jose Ramirez made history with the Cleveland Guardians, breaking a 108-year-old record for most games played. He reached 1,620 games, cementing his place in the team's history.

Ramirez, who's been with the Guardians since 2013, has racked up impressive stats: seven All-Star appearances, six Silver Slugger Awards, and franchise records in extra-base hits and intentional walks

Terry Turner's 1918 record was broken, and now Jose Ramirez holds the Guardians' games played record with 1,620 games under his belt.

Ramirez is on a roll, chasing more records: 52 HRs to surpass Jim Thome (337), 130 RBI to pass Earl Averill, and he's 2nd in steals (289) behind Kenny Lofton (452). The man's a machine!

Jose Ramirez's been consistent, hitting .265+ with 24+ HRs, 80+ RBI, and 20+ SBs in five straight seasons before this year.

Last year, he set a career-high 44 SBs, and he's got two so far this season. However, he's off to a slow start, hitting .154 (6-for-39) with one HR and one RBI.
