Fiorentina snapped a nine-game winless streak with a 2-1 win over Dynamo Kyiv, moving them into the top eight of the Conference League table. The Italian side ended a dismal run that included three draws and six losses, with their last win dating back to September 21st against Udinese.
Dodo's early cross almost paid off for Fiorentina, with Edin Dzeko's header narrowly missing the target. Despite their struggles, the hosts created chances, but Dynamo Kyiv's defence held firm initially.
Dzeko's 17th-minute effort was cruelly blocked by Moise Kean, but the Italian striker made amends a minute later, powering home Dodo's precision cross. Fiorentina's momentum shifted, and Kean had a great chance to double the lead on 36 minutes, but his shot lacked the necessary connection.

Fiorentina head coach Paolo Vanoli's halftime frustration stemmed from Cher Ndour's yellow card, which means the midfielder will miss the final league-phase game against Lausanne-Sport. Vanoli was also likely disappointed his team wasn't leading by more, given the chances they'd created.
Dynamo Kyiv's new coach Ihor Kostiuk will have been pleased with his side's start, but Fiorentina's David de Gea was tested after halftime. The Spaniard made a great save on 54 minutes, but couldn't stop Mykola Mykhaylenko's stunning equaliser a minute later, capping off a fine Dynamo move.
Fiorentina pushed for a winner, with Kean hitting the side-netting from a corner, but it was substitute Albert Gudmundsson who stole the show, scoring the winner on 74 minutes. Gudmundsson seized on a loose ball to convert, after Neshcheret had earlier denied Kean.
Kean had a late chance to seal the win, but Fiorentina held on, keeping their Conference League dreams alive. The 2-1 win ends their nine-game winless streak, while Dynamo Kyiv's qualification hopes are fading, with the Ukrainian side currently 28th in the table.
