Pep Guardiola is confident that Manchester City will bounce back to form despite their busy schedule. The team has a packed fixture list, with eight matches in 26 days, including two Champions League games, five league matches, and a League Cup quarter-final against Brentford.
Guardiola isn't expecting any complaints from his players about the demanding schedule, saying, “We are used to it -- we've won quadruples and trebles playing that way.” He believes his squad has the strength and depth to cope with the fixture congestion, adding, “We want it. The trebles and quadruples came from playing on Saturday and Tuesday, then Tuesday and Friday and Friday and Sunday. It's not a problem.”

Pep Guardiola has extended his contract with Manchester City until June 2027, putting to rest speculation about his future at the club. The 53-year-old manager had previously expressed concerns about fixture congestion and its impact on player injuries and mental fatigue. This season marks only his second trophyless campaign since joining City in 2016, with the first being the 2016/17 season.
Guardiola's decision to stay comes after a run of four defeats in all competitions, which has seen City drop to third place in the Premier League, seven points behind leaders Arsenal. Despite this, City remains strong in the Champions League, currently fourth in the table with three wins and a draw.
