Many Car Crashes In Ogun Resulted In 6 Fatalities And Numerous Injuries


ON Monday, April 8, a number of traffic incidents in Ogun State left 20 people with various degrees of injuries and six dead.


Florence Okpe, a spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps' (FRSC) Ogun Command, claims that these occurrences took place in different parts of the state.


The first collision happened near Fidiwo along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at approximately 3:40 in the morning. Two cars were involved: a Golf and a Toyota bus with the license plate GBJ915XA.


It was learned that this catastrophe claimed the lives of two people, while two others were injured and transferred to Victory Hospital in Ogere.


Similar to the last accident, the third happened at around 2:00 am on the ljebu-Ode-Ore-Benin Expressway, which runs after the Ajebamidele Bridge. A luxury bus traveling southeast struck an IVECO truck with the license plate TRE265XB that was improperly parked.


Out of the 29 passengers engaged in this incident, one person died and two others were injured.


The deceased was placed in the morgue, and the injured were sent to Olaolu Clinic Ajebandele.


The parked truck blocked the road, which resulted in the accident.


The FRSC Ogun Sector Command's Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, stressed the value of road safety and responsible driving habits by advising drivers to drive carefully and make sure they get enough sleep to prevent drowsiness.
