Restaurateur Detained For Raping A Minor In Ohio

49-year-old restaurateur detained in the United States for statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl.

A middle-aged Ohio Chick-fil-A franchise owner drove through several states to allegedly commit statutory rape of a 15-year-old whose parents came home and caught him in the act.

A 49-year-old restaurant owner has been placed under arrest on suspicion of raping a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina under the statute of limitations.

The girl's parents caught Stacy Lee Austin, the owner of a Chick-fil-A franchise, in the act of statutory rape, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges on Tuesday.

Rowan County Sheriff's Office reports that although a homeowner first called deputies to report a break-in in progress, the crime turned out to be much more disturbing.

One of the homeowners reported to the investigators that he had discovered a man inside their home with their fifteen-year-old child.

The local station reported that Austin allegedly confessed to having sex with the adolescent inside the house, and that when deputies searched a bathroom trashcan, they discovered his underwear and some of the girl's clothes.

According to deputies, he had driven from Ohio to North Carolina to meet up with the 15-year-old with whom he had formed an online relationship after exchanging messages on social media.

Austin reportedly confessed and told police he was worried about losing his job as a Chick-fil-A franchise owner.
