| Schwarber reaches 25 HR first |
Schwarber went deep for No. 25 vs Miami to give Philly an 8-0 lead. After leading baseball with 126 RBI and 56 HR last season, the Phillies slugger is on pace for another monster year.
Kyle Schwarber hits 25 home runs first in MLB this season with 4th-inning blast...
Kyle Schwarber made history on Tuesday. The Phillies slugger crushed his 25th homer of 2026 against the Marlins to become MLB’s first player to that mark this season.
The NL’s defending home run king went deep off Tyler Phillips in the bottom of the 4th. Schwarber’s blast stretched Philadelphia’s lead to 8-0.
At 33, Schwarber entered Tuesday tied with Astros star Yordan Alvarez for the MLB home run lead at 24. He also topped the NL in slugging at .536, while striking out 106 times and hitting .247.
Schwarber finished 2nd in NL MVP voting last year. He led the league with 56 homers and paced all of baseball with 126 RBI across 162 games.
Schwarber’s coming off his 3rd All-Star season. The Phillies rewarded him with a 5-year, $150M extension this offseason, and he’s earning every dollar of it so far.
He even helped the NL snap a streak last year. Schwarber led them to their 2nd All-Star Game win in 3 years with the first ever “swing-off” HR derby to decide it.
After a slow start, the Phillies have climbed to 2nd in the NL East at 39-33. They’re chasing win No. 40 tonight against the Marlins.
