A fire that destroyed a stand at FC Haka's Tehtaan Kentta stadium in Finland was deliberately set, according to police. The incident occurred after the club was relegated from Veikkausliiga, Finland's top division, in October. Three suspects, all under 15, were involved, and one admitted to starting the fire that damaged the wooden stand and artificial pitch.

The club, with nine league titles, has launched a fundraising campaign to recover from the damage. FC Haka's chairman, Marko Laaksonen, expressed shock and gratitude for community support, stating they're committed to rebuilding.

The incident happened after the club, one of Finland's most decorated teams with nine league titles, got relegated from the Veikkausliiga, Finland's top division, in October. The club, located in Valkeakoski, about 150km north of Helsinki, has started a fundraising campaign to help it bounce back from the fire.

Haka's poor form continued as they failed to win any of their last 15 Veikkausliiga matches, causing them to drop to the bottom of the table. A win against relegation rivals KTP on the final day would've saved them, but a 2-1 loss at home sealed their fate, and they'll be playing in the Ykkosliiga in 2026.
