United, with Norwegian defender Jakob Glesnes opening the scoring with a 15th-minute volley and Danley Jean-Jacques doubling the lead with a powerful strike seven minutes after halftime. Despite this win, the Union trails Cincinnati by three points in the standings.


The Philadelphia Union sealed their 3-0 win over D.C. United when substitute Bruno Damiani scored with a well-taken individual effort in the 77th minute. Other matches saw the New York Red Bulls edge Montreal 1-0 with Noah Eile heading home from a corner, and New York City FC beat Toronto 1-0 courtesy of an Alonso Martinez penalty.


Nashville's Thrashing Victory

Nashville SC delivered a resounding 7-2 victory over the Chicago Fire, led by English forward Sam Surridge's four-goal haul. Surridge, a former Nottingham Forest striker, scored twice from the penalty spot in the first half, contributing to Nashville's 5-0 lead at halftime. German midfielder Hany Mukhtar also scored twice in the match.


Sam Surridge continued his impressive performance by adding two more goals early in the second half, calmly finishing after being put through by long balls that the Chicago defense struggled to handle. Despite Chicago managing to score two late goals, the result was a humiliating loss for their head coach, Gregg Berhalter, who faced off against his former USA national team assistant BJ Callaghan for the first time.

Houston Dynamo secured a 2-0 victory in the Texas derby against Austin FC. Recently signed Czech striker Ondrej Lingr opened the scoring, followed by a powerful strike from Argentine forward Ezequiel Ponce, giving Houston the win.
