EPL: Pochettino To Replace Lampard And Signs Three Players For Chelsea
To get his reign at Chelsea off to a strong start, Mauricio Pochettino is hoping to sign three players.
The former manager of Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain may even be introduced this week, according to the Daily Mail.
However, Pochettino will have to wait until the summer to go to work because Frank Lampard is now serving as temporary manager.
Todd Boehly invested about £600 million on new Chelsea acquisitions, but Pochettino is eager to add new players ahead of the 2023–2024 season.
In his first transfer window at Stamford Bridge, the 51-year-old is rumored to be looking for a new goalkeeper, central midfielder, and striker. He will reportedly give preference to players with Premier League experience.
Pochettino already has a few potential new additions in mind, but in order to reduce down Chelsea's overly large roster and raise some cash, he would also need to unload a few players.
