APC Drops Uzor For Senate President

With the revelation of the party's zoning criteria for the leadership of the 10th National Assembly, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rendered Senator Orji Uzor Kalu's aspirations to become the next Senate President meaningless.

The party chose Senator Godswill Akpabio of South South, Akwa Ibom State as the Senate President and Tajudeen Abass of North West, Kano State as the Deputy Senate President in a statement released on Monday and signed by Morka and members of the National Working Committee (NWC).

Speaker of the lower house is the honorable Abass Tajudeen of Kaduna State's North West, and Deputy Speaker is the honorable Ben Kalu of Abia State's South East.
