MOHAMMED SALAH

Extremely wonderful, I won't lie - Salah celebrates surpassing Gerrard as Liverpool's leading scorer all-time

The highest Premier League scorer for Liverpool all-time, Mohamed Salah, has responded.

After scoring a pair of goals in Liverpool's 7-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday, Salah accomplished the accomplishment.

Becoming the club's all-time leading Premier League scorer is very special for him, the Egyptian international remarked, adding that it cannot be denied.

In the 66th minute, his first goal brought him even with Liverpool icon Robbie Fowler's total of 128 goals, and his second goal broke the former striker's record, which had stood since 2007.

After the game, Salah responded by saying to Sky Sports, "It's very special, I can't lie."

"This record was in my mind since I came here. After my first season, I was always chasing the record.

"To get it today against United with that result is unbelievable. I'm going home to celebrate with the family, Chamomile tea and sleep!"
